Atlanta Hawks Sign Damion James

Stay connected for news and updates

The Atlanta Hawks have added a forward to their roster in Damion James, according to multiple reports:

The small forward has yet to comment on the deal via his own Twitter, but it appears the Hawks will pick up the man they originally drafted two years ago. James was selected by the Hawks with the 24th pick in the 2010 Draft, but his rights were traded to the New Jersey Nets for the rights of the 27th pick Jordan Crawford and the 31st pick Tibor Pleiss.

In two years with the Nets, James was rarely used, appearing in 32 games. When he's on the floor, he has averaged 4.5 points a game.
