Virginia Vs. Georgia Tech: Vad Lee's Role Still Uncertain

Stay connected for news and updates

Georgia Tech is still deciding how it will use redshirt freshman quarterback Vad Lee. So far, he has split time with Synjyn Days and Tevin Washington.

Lee was dazzling in Saturday's 59-3 rout of Presbyterian, throwing an 82-yard touchdown pass and adding an impressive 79-yard rush that set up another score. And the question on everyone's mind is, how much of Lee can we expect to see against Virginia on Saturday?

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, head coach Paul Johnson responded,

"We'll see. I'm going to try to play him some. I'm not going to commit myself to saying he's going to be in the second series or third series or whatever. I'll play by feel, to some degree. Vad and I will know that. Nobody else will. I think he did some positive things. He's got great upside. He'd be the first to tell you, as I said yesterday, that he's got a lot of things to work on."
