Establishing the run game is going to be a priority for the Atlanta Falcons when they play against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, and the Falcons are confident in their ability to set the tone.
Michael Turner running the ball wasn't the theme of the high volume scoring seen from the Falcons in their when against the Chiefs in Week 1, but Turner is expecting to perform whenever he is handed the ball despite the heavy focus in passing.
"That's what I've been used to the last couple of years," Turner said on Thursday. "Now I've just got to take advantage of the opportunities that I get on the field. Ten, 20, 30, I've got to be ready for each carry."
The important part about establishing the run is that it will help the passing game as well, which is where the Falcons really want to beat teams -- down the field.
