After what some may have called a slow first half start for the Georgia Bulldogs, the third quarter put some worries to rest. The Dawgs turned in 28 unanswered points in the second half, coasting to a comfortable 56-20 win over the Florida Atlantic Owls.
Aaron Murray had a huge game, going 14-19 for 340 yards, two touchdowns and an interception before being pulled. Murray also added two rushing touchdowns. Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley each went for over 100 yards rushing and a touchdown. Amarlo Herrera returned a Graham Wilbert interception for a touchdown in the third quarter, and helped the Georgia defense hold the Owls offense scoreless in the second half. FAU's only points of the second half were due to a Christian LeMay pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Adarius Glanton.
Next Saturday, Georgia starts the meat of their SEC conference schedule when they host Vanderbilt. Florida Atlantic has the unenviable task of going to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama.
