Mark Richt, Bulldogs Set Sights On Vanderbilt

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Bulldogs had just finished a strong second-half effort to put away the Florida Atlantic Owls, 56-20, but head coach Mark Richt and the team have already turned their attention towards their next opponent, the Vanderbilt Commodores. According to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald, the Dawgs won't take Vanderbilt lightly after a tense 33-28 win last year in Nashville:

"I know we’ll be motivated," coach Mark Richt said. "We’ll be motivated for that game. …We’ll be ready. They’re a really good team. We have a lot of respect for them and we know we better be ready."

Safety Bacarri Rambo and linebacker Alec Ogletree are still expected to be suspended for the Vanderbilt game, but Richt didn't provide a concrete answer either way when asked about their status.

"You know I don’t know," he said of their status for Vanderbilt. "We’ll talk about that maybe next week some time."
