Quinton Stephens Commits To Georgia Tech Basketball

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets just scored an ACC basketball victory in September. That is because 2013 recruit Quinton Stephens chose the Yellow Jackets over the Clemson Tigers on Sunday.

Georgia Tech just felt like the right fit for Stephens, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"I went to Clemson the previous week and really enjoyed it," Stephens told the AJC. "But coming here [to Georgia Tech], it really stood out to me that it was a great place. I fit in really well with the players and coaches. And just the atmosphere and all around … it really was a good fit for all the things I was looking for."

Stephens is a 6'9 swingman from Marist School in Atlanta. He was also considering Tennessee and Miami.

As a junior, he averaged 18.9 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game.
