Vanderbilt Vs. Georgia: Bulldogs' Special Teams Looks For Retribution

In last year's 33-28 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Georgia Bulldogs' special teams didn't fare so well, as Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald reminds. The Commodores extended a drive on a fake punt that led to a touchdown, had a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and blocked a punt late in the game that gave them a shot to win it.

So far in 2012, though, the No. 5 Bulldogs' special teams has impressed head coach Mark Richt:

"We're blocking well," Richt said. "Teams are even starting to pooch kick for it because they're a little concerned about our return men and what we've been doing there. We've blocked an extra point, which is a big emphasis. We've had to blast through to block extra point and field goals."

The Bulldogs' special teams can show better against the Commodores on Saturday when they meet at 7:45 p.m. ET in a game televised by ESPN2.
