Vanderbilt Vs. Georgia Score: Bulldogs Lead 13-0 After First Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Bulldogs are off to a good start against the Vanderbilt Commodores, and lead, 7-0, through one quarter. The Dawgs opened the game by forcing Vanderbilt into a three-and-out, then took the lead less than five minutes into the game on a four-yard Todd Gurley touchdown run.

On the next drive, Georgia defensive back Branden Smith intercepted a deep pass from Jordan Rodgers, but the turnover did not stand because Smith was interfering with the receiver. After getting the ball back on a punt, the Georgia offense stalled, but were bailed out by a very questionable roughing the punter call against Vanderbilt. Two players later, Keith Marshall broke free down the middle for a 52-yard touchdown run to make it 13-0. The extra point was no good.

Aaron Murray has yet to throw an incompletion, and is 5-of-5 for 47 yards in the first quarter.
