John Abraham arrested: Details emerge in Falcons star's arrest

Stay connected for news and updates

From the sounds of the report filed by the Atlanta police department, Atlanta Falcons DE John Abraham more than got his money's worth for the obstruction charge he picked up on Friday night (courtesy of the Augusta Chronicle):

In a police report released on Tuesday, Officer Christopher Blaise of the Atlanta police department said Abraham "had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from him, his speech was extremely slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and he was unsteady on his feet" when he was arrested on two misdemeanor charges of obstruction.

The problems began when a woman threatened to jump out of a hotel building on Monday night, a location reportedly containing three condos owned by Abraham.

The fire department taped off the entrance, but that didn't stop Abraham, who refused to wait in line with the other residents and reportedly argued with the officers for an extended period before eventually being booked and arrested.

The woman didn't end up jumping, but Abraham got a late-night trip to the police station for his trouble.
