Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Georgia Bulldogs maintained their No. 5 ranking in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll, setting up a huge showdown with South Carolina next Saturday.

After narrowly escaping the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs retained their No. 5 ranking in the newest Associated Press Top 25 Poll. Five SEC teams are ranked in the AP top 10. Alabama holds on to the top spot, LSU slipped one spot and now rests at number four, South Carolina stands in sixth, and Florida rounds out the top 10 after moving up one spot.

Georgia now faces a important clash with No. 6 South Carolina this weekend. The Bulldogs will travel to Columbia, S.C. on Saturday to determine who will be top dog in the SEC east -- and who will have the inside track to the SEC title game.
