Braves-Giants NLDS Game 4 Score: 3-2 Headed To Ninth

Stay connected for news and updates

The Braves had an opportunity to score, but I assume they were waiting until the ninth inning for any type of heroics. Derrek Lee struck out to start the inning, but Brian McCann followed with a single to left field. Nate McLouth pinch-ran for McCann and attempted to steal second with Alex Gonzalez at the plate. Gonzalez hit a soft liner to shortstop Edgar Renteria, who dropped an easy catch, but Seabass didn’t run and was thrown out at first easily. If Renteria catches it, it’s an easy double play. If Gonzalez runs, he may have beaten it out. Jason Heyward followed and the Giants moved to Javier Lopez, who struck Heyward out on four pitches. They now have three outs left in the season.
