2012 Atlanta Braves Spring Training: Freddie Freeman Catches Fire In Tie With Marlins

Nothing says the MLB in March like a 5-5 tie after 10 innings, but the Atlanta Braves offense looked a lot more comfortable than it has in recent weeks, especially young first baseman Freddie Freeman. On a day marked by the confirmation that Chipper Jones would retire at the end of the season, Freeman did his best "Larry" impersonation, driving in three runs, including a solo homer and a double to score Martin Prado in the first inning.

The Braves next host the New York Mets at 1:05 p.m. ET Friday, with Mike Minor and his Grapefruit League scoreless streak on the hill for Atlanta. Minor has logged 14 innings in five appearances without giving up a run. Jones, who delivered the scorecard but did not play on Thursday, will return to the lineup on Friday.
