Chipper Jones could be activated from the disabled list in time for Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros.
Chipper Jones' 2012 farewell tour isn't off to a good start. Jones tore his meniscus on Thursday, and will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery in hopes of returning before the season begins.

Jones, who recently announced that 2012 will be his final season in his storied career, will be sidelined for awhile due to the injury. David O'Brien said that Jones plans to be back in time for Atlanta's home opener, but that he still might be out longer.
Jones apparently suffered the injury during a team stretch prior to his retirement press conference.
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez will now have to adjust his Opening Day lineup. Martin Prado may be the logical choice to take Jones' spot at third.
