Tim Hudson Injury: Braves Pitcher Will Make Start On Wednesday For Triple-A Gwinnett

Stay connected for news and updates

The next stop on Tim Hudson's rehab assignment will be a Wednesday outing for Triple-A Gwinnett at Coolray Field. Hudson is expected to throw 85-90 pitches on Wednesday against Norfolk. After that outing he is scheduled to pitch six days later again for Gwinnett against Charlotte where he could throw as many as 100 pitches.

Regaining stamina is the primary goal for Hudson whose numbers aren't very impressive from his two starts at Class-A Rome. In those two outings he compiled an 0-2 record and a 7.71 ERA. If everything goes according to plan then Hudson could rejoin the Braves rotation as soon as April 29 or 30 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Randall Delgado will likely be the odd man out in the rotation once Hudson is ready to return if there are no other injuries to the starting rotation between now and then.
