Braves Vs. Mets Score Update: Tommy Hanson, Johan Santana Dealing Early In New York

Most figured a game featured Tommy Hanson and Johan Santana on the mound would be low scoring. After five innings of play, that has held true, with the Braves and Mets currently tied 0-0.

Hanson has dominated to this point and struck out four in five innings. He allowed just two hits -- with one coming via a double from Daniel Murphy in the first inning -- and two walks. Santana has been very strong a well, working five innings and allowing just two hits and two walks. His afternoon is now done after being pulled for a pinch-hitter.

Neither team has had many scoring chances, although a double from Matt Diaz and back-to-back walks to Tyler Pastornicky and Hanson loaded the bases for Michael Bourn in the fifth. The speedy outfielder worked the count in his favor early in the at-bat, but eventually swung at ball four, tapping it back to Santana on the mound for the final out.

Martin Prado had the first hit of the season for the Braves, a single back up the middle in the first inning.
