The Atlanta Braves open a three-game set with the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday night at Turner Field with Brandon Beachy on the mound. The Phillies will counter with left hander Cole Hamels. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs since Philly eliminated the Braves from postseason contention on the last day of the 2011 season.
Both teams are coming off of slightly disappointing four-game splits. The Braves went 2-2 against the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend losing 9-3 on Monday. The Phillies split with the Chicago Cubs after a 6-4 win on Monday.
