Braves vs. Cardinals Lineups: Chipper Jones Batting Sixth

Stay connected for news and updates

The Atlanta Braves seem to have found themselves a pretty standard lineup whenever their normal starters are all playing, and that lineup will be in place once again on Friday night against Jaime Garcia and the Cardinals. Chipper Jones is playing his fourth consecutive game for the first time all season. Jason Heyward continues to bat seventh despite having better numbers than just about anyone on the team.

Here are the complete lineups for Friday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 8:25 p.m. ET following a ceremony for Tony LaRussa.

Braves:

Michael Bourn
Martin Prado
Freddie Freeman
Dan Uggla
Brian McCann
Chipper Jones
Jason Heyward
Tyler Pastornicky
Mike Minor

Cardinals:

Rafael Furcal
Jon Jay
Matt Holliday
Carlos Beltran
Allen Craig
Yadier Molina
Matt Carpenter
Tyler Greene
Jaime Garcia

This series has the potential to be a great one, something typically pretty rare for May. The Braves and Cardinals feature two of the best offenses in the game, so it will come down to the pitching staffs this weekend.
