The Atlanta Braves begin a key three-game set with the division leading Washington Nationals Friday night at Turner Field. Atlanta is trying to snap a four game losing streak that has them once again trailing the Nationals in the standings.
Tim Hudson gets the start for Atlanta and has been really good in his last three starts posting a 1.25 ERA. He will be opposed by Washington's Ross Detwiler who is coming off a rough start in Baltimore last weekend.
No word yet on whether or not the Braves will get any of their injured or sick regulars back in the lineup. Chipper Jones missed his sixth straight start on Thursday with a leg contusion. Brian McCann is battling the flu and Freddie Freeman continues to have vision issues.
