Braves Vs. Nationals: Series Opener Rained Out In Washington

Stay connected for news and updates

The series opener between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals has been postponed due to rain that has blanketed the D.C area. No make up date has been announced as of yet.

Prospect Andrelton Simmons will have to wait one more day before making his major league debut for the Braves. Mike Minor was scheduled to get the start against Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg. Despite a recent eight game losing streak, Atlanta trails Washington by just two games for the division lead. The Nationals swept a three-game set from the Braves just last weekend scoring at least seven runs in every game.
