MLB Standings: Braves Sitting 2 Games Out Of First Place In NL East

Stay connected for news and updates

The Atlanta Braves are trying to keep pace with the Washington Nationals for the NL East lead, but currently the Braves are in second place and two games out of first place. The Nationals have gone on a three-game winning streak while the Braves have moved up in the standings by winning two of three from the Blue Jays, and winning seven of their last eight games.

The NL East is one of the more competitive divisions in baseball as the Mets and Marlins are 4.5 and five games back, while the Phillies are eight games out of first place, so the Braves need to keep winning to avoid falling down the standings.

The Braves next slate of games is a three-game home series against the New York Yankees.
