The Atlanta Braves placed Brandon Beachy on the disabled list Sunday morning with elbow soreness and called up right hander Todd Redmond from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Beachy had his start pushed back to Saturday after he experienced some elbow soreness. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings Saturday against the Orioles and will have an MRI on the elbow to evaluate the injury.
Redmond is 6-4 in 13 starts at Gwinnett with a 3.20 ERA with 67 strikeouts and just 19 walks. He allowed four hits in a complete game victory his last time out on June 15.
