Braves Vs. Yankees: Minor Struggles As Atlanta Drops Opener 6-2

Mike Minor gave up four earned runs over 5 2/3 innings as the Braves dropped the series-opener to the Yankees, falling 6-2 in New York on Monday night.

Michael Bourn lead the Braves at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored, while catcher David Ross went 2-for-3.

The Braves opened the scoring in the first on an RBI-groundout from Martin Prado to score Bourn. In the fifth, Bourn singled home another run to double Atlanta's lead. But the Yankees scored three in the bottom frame on a ground-rule double from Russell Martin and a single from Derek Jeter. The Yankees tacked on a run in each of the next three innings, including solo home runs from Mark Teixeira and Robinson Cano.
