The Atlanta Braves will have to play Sunday's series finale versus the Toronto Blue Jays without the services of their ace pitcher Tim Hudson. Hudson has been battling lingering issues with his ankle, and the organization has decided to give the starting pitcher an off day on Sunday. Julio Teheran has been called up from Gwinnett (AAA) to start in Hudson's place.
#Braves will skip Hudson tomorrow, minor ankle problem. Calling up Teheran for spot start. Hope Hudson can come back Wed vs Yankees

If the Braves could get Hudson back for an interesting three-game series versus the New York Yankees on Wednesday, it could mean a ton for the Braves place in the standings. After dropping 8 in a row, the Braves have rattled off wins in 7 of their last 8. Atlanta is now just one game behind the Washington Nationals in the NL East division standings.
