The Atlanta Braves announced on Sunday that they have signed veteran starting pitcher Ben Sheets to a minor league deal. Sheets will report to Double-A Mississippi and will make his first start with the club on July 4.

Sheets set the Twitter world on fire when he appeared in the Braves bullpen wearing an Atlanta uniform before an official announcement was made.
