Rookie phenom Bryce Harper is as competitive as they come on the field but he proved on Sunday that he understands baseball history as well. Harper is a part of the final vote for the last spot on the National League All-Star team along with Chipper Jones. Harper said after Sunday's game that he would vote for Jones to make a final appearance in the mid-summer classic.

Jones is calling it a career at the end of the season and although he is hitting better late probably doesn't have All-Star numbers. However, National League manager Tony LaRussa says that Chipper should be there and as Harper's reaction suggests many would probably like to see him on the National stage for what is likely for the last time.
