It's not every day that you see a game as exciting as the Atlanta Braves' thrilling 11-10 victory over the Washington Nationals on Friday night, but Saturday's matchup holds some intrigue of its own. Atlanta's Ben Sheets will look to build off his stellar season debut against the Mets this past Sunday, where he gave up two hits, no runs and struck out five batters in a 6-1 victory. He hadn't pitched in the majors since 2010, spending nearly two years recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Friday's win put the Braves 2.5 games back of the division-leading Nationals, who will start Edwin Jackson (5-5) in Saturday's game. Jackson has struggled lately, putting up a 10.54 ERA in his last three starts.
