The weekend series between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals has been very beneficial to the Braves. Both teams came in as the two top clubs in the NL East with the Nationals sitting atop the division.
But the Braves have closed that gap after taking two of three from the Nationals and now find themselves 2.5 back for the division lead and looking to pull even closer after Sunday.
Jair Jurrjens will take the mound for Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. The right-handed hurler is 3-3 this season with a 6.20 ERA. Jurrjens hasn't won a game since June 22nd when he faced the Boston Red Sox on the road at Fenway Park.
First pitch on Sunday will be at 1:35 p.m. ET.
