MLB Trade Rumors: Braves Among Teams In Attendance For Zack Greinke's 4-Pitch Start

Stay connected for news and updates

I previously joked about it but the Braves in fact were one of the teams that had scouts in Houston to take a look at potential trade target Zack Greinke who lasted just four pitches before being ejected by first base umpire Sam Holbrook.

Scouts from at least the Orioles, Rangers, Braves, Diamondbacks, Giants and Blue Jays were in Houston for the game, though one or more of those teams may also have interest in Astros' starter Wandy Rodriguez, who opposed Greinke, or may simply have been performing regular coverage.

Its probably not a coincidence for the the Orioles and the Braves who are considered as the frontrunners to land Greinke should the Brewers decide to move him before the trade deadline. Atlanta has prospects in Julio Teheran, Randall Delgado and Mike Minor who could be available in a trade for Greinke.
