The Braves head to Citi Field for a three-game weekend series against the Mets.
The Braves take on the Mets in a three-game weekend road series, as Atlanta tries to stay atop the NL Wild Card standings. Paul Maholm (11-9, 3.79 ERA) will take the mound for the Braves, facing Jonathon Niese (10-8, 3.55 ERA) in the pitching duel.
Since being traded to the Braves, Maholm is 7-3 with a 2.37 ERA in his past 13 starts, and 2-3 with a 3.96 ERA in six of those starts. Maholm is 5-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 12 games against the Mets, which includes going 2-0 with an 0.69 ERA in two starts against New York this season
