Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco has been looking forward to meeting Falcons CB Dunta Robinson on Sunday.
But Robinson could be prevented from playing by one of two things: his concussion, suffered Sunday against the Eagles, or a possible suspension for what the NFL may perceive as a disallowed hit.
NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson said today that the league may start suspending players for helmet-to-helmet hits, ratcheting up the punishment for what used to only be a fineable offense. Anderson didn’t comment on Robinson’s hit in particular.
Robinson will need a doctor’s note clearing him to play, but that won’t mean a thing if the NFL starts naming names.
