Some amazing news surrounding the Atlanta Falcons upcoming opponent. Earlier in the week, the Detroit Lions attempted to trade running back Jerome Harrison to the Philadelphia Eagles in advance of their upcoming game against the Falcons, due to injury concerns surrounding running back Jahvid Best's concussion recovery. The trade was voided due to health reasons.

According to Adam Schefter, a brain tumor was the cause.

Wingo rightly points out that the trade may have saved Harrison's life, since he may not have known about it for quite some time otherwise. Unbelievable.

Not much more to say here, other than to marvel at what a fortunate coincidence led to the discovery Harrison's condition and hope he's able to fully recover very soon.
