Atlanta is the second-lowest ranked four-win team in the NFL at No. 19.
In the latest batch of NFL Power Rankings from SBNation, the Atlanta Falcons dropped a spot to No. 19 during their bye week:
19. Atlanta Falcons (4-3, LW: 18): Maybe I should have put them higher but they just don't inspire me. They're such an average team right now.
The good news for Atlanta is they are playing the NFL's equivalent of a second bye week, the winless Indianapolis Colts, on Sunday. Even an average team should dominate a Colts squad with a point differential of -131, the worst in the NFL by a significant margin.
With Julio Jones expected back from a hamstring injury, a win over a 0-8 Indianapolis team would give the Falcons a 5-3 record headed into a crucial NFC South showdown with the suddenly vulnerable looking New Orleans Saints, who fell out of the top two after a baffling loss to the St. Louis Rams.
