The Atlanta Falcons take on the Minnesota Vikings at home this week and welcome back wide receiver Julio Jones, while the Vikings will be without running back Adrian Peterson.
The Atlanta Falcons are in the thick of the NFC South divisional race as well as the Wild Card race. The Falcons are currently tied with the New York Giants for the second Wild Card spot and only one game behind the Saints for the division lead. So, the Falcons will need to win to stay on track for a playoff spot.
However, the Falcons will be back getting back wide receiver Julio Jones who missed last Sunday's game and has been bothered by a hamstring injury over the past two months. Conversely the Minnesota Vikings are without starting running back Adrian Petterson and could be without wide receiver Percy Harvin. Missing Petterson and possibly Harvin will put a strain on starting rookie quarterback Christian Ponder.
