Atlanta can clinch a fourth consecutive winning season and move closer to a NFC wild card with a win against Jacksonville Thursday night.
The Falcons are on the verge of their fourth consecutive winning season and third playoff appearance under head coach Mike Smith and general manager Thomas Dimitroff. While the NFC South division title seems unlikely - the Saints would have to lose out and Atlanta win out - the Falcons are close to capturing a wild card with two of their three remaining games against sub-.500 teams, including the Jaguars Thursday night.
The exact playoff scenario is easy: If the Falcons win out (vs. Jacksonville tonight, at New Orleans, vs. Tampa Bay), they're guaranteed at least a wild card.
