Bucs-Bears London Game Will Move To Tampa Bay If NFL Lockout Reaches August

Stay connected for news and updates

With NFL schedules set to be announced Tuesday night at 7 pm ET, that reported Oct. 23 London game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears has already been confirmed by the league. But here's an interesting sidenote: the game will be moved to Tampa Bay if the NFL lockout isn't resolved by August 1.

And just like that, the Atlanta Falcons fan has reason to root for the lockout to drag on until August 2.

The Bucs are going to be good this year, as they deserved to make the playoffs last season despite a crushing pile of injuries late in their run. The more time they spend flying across the Atlantic in the middle of the season, the better for the rest of the NFC South. Especially since they're willingly giving up a home game to do so. By "they" I mean team owner Malcolm Glazer, who's big in Europe.
