2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Atlanta Falcons Still Trying To Trade Up For A.J. Green, Julio Jones

As was reported by Peter King and Jason La Canfora earlier this week, the Atlanta Falcons are still aggressively looking to trade into the 2011 NFL Draft's "top seven," according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Glazer says Thomas Dimitroff is talking to the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns about moving up, with Cleveland's No. 4 pick being the most likely.

OK, so this has gone slightly beyond regular old tire-kickin'. The team really wants to see if there's any feasible way to secure Georgia Bulldogs WR A.J. Green or Alabama Crimson Tide WR Julio Jones. That's simply too much time to invest in a ruse or basic due diligence.

Green is expected to be gone by No. 6, if not No. 4, while Jones could sneak into the teens.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft started at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28th, and SB Nation has everything you need to keep up with it: news, rumors, player profiles, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule, NFL mock drafts, draft projections and more.
