The blocking specialist rejoins the team that drafted him in 1999.

The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with tight end Reggie Kelly, an 11-year veteran, and have thus addressed the hole in their tight-end depth chart Justin Peelle's injury created. As Marvez reports, the value of Kelly's contract with Atlanta is not yet known.

Kelly began his professional career as a Falcon, when coach Dan Reeves drafted him 42nd overall in the 1999 Draft. After four seasons in Atlanta, Kelly signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, with whom he's spent the last seven seasons of his career, carving out a niche as a blocking specialist. Last season, he appeared in all 16 games--making 14 starts--and tallied 10 catches for 42 yards. He last scored a touchdown in October 2006.

Kelly will likely serve as Tony Gonzalez's backup until Peelle returns from knee injury. Whether he'll remain on the roster beyond that point is unclear.
