PHOTO: Josh Freeman Does Some Sort Of Dirty Bird Vs. Falcons

I don't get why every player that scores a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons feels the need to spoof the late-'90s. Jamal Anderson, the mainstream's gateway to "the Dirty Bird" dance, retired in 2001, guys. Here's Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman, the latest to go all Netscape Navigator 4.76 after running in a score:

Once saw an opposing player do it while scoring on the Georgia Force at Gwinnett Arena. It's a local rite of passage, I guess, like saying, "Any time you're in Atlanta, you have to eat at the Varsity with all the locals," even though locals don't eat at the Varsity. Kind of like when some guy complains about something racist and some other guy shouts O POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, which nobody's used without irony since like 1996.
