Former Georgia Bulldogs and current rookie wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals A.J. Green scored a touchdown with his first reception in the 2012 Pro Bowl. Green caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. That touchdown for the AFC team was their first of the game and cut into the NFC's lead 14-7.
Green ended up having another reception for nine yards which nearly ended up being his second touchdown. On that reception Green made a great effort to try to get to the endzone, but after rolling over a defender and stretching his arm out to the one Green lost control of the ball in the endzone and the NFC's Earl Thomas.
So far on the day Green has been targeted four times, two receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown.

The Atlanta Falcons are sending just two representatives to the 2012 Pro Bowl this year, and while Tony Gonzalez was the only member of the team who was actually invited, the other member should look to play a prominent role in many of the festivities in Honolulu.
Roddy White was selected to the Pro Bowl as a first alternate, and while quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Cam Newton will enjoy throwing to such an elite talent there are others who will enjoy seeing White's other talents at display.
For the first time ever, the NFL will allow players to tweet during a game. Tweet stations will be setup on the sidelines for players to use and the house money will be on Roddy White being one of the key tweeters during the Pro Bowl. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET.

The NFL's annual All-Star extravaganza will take place on Sunday, January 29 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The Atlanta Falcons will be represented by two players in the game with tight end Tony Gonzalez and wide receiver Roddy White suiting up for the NFC.
The NFC's offense figures to be explosive led by quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees at quarterback. White joins a receiving corps that includes Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald, Carolina's Steve Smith and Green Bay's Greg Jennings. Tony Gonzalez joins New Orleans' Jimmy Graham as tight ends on the squad.
Gonzalez is a 15-year veteran who caught 80 passes for 875 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season for . Roddy White was an injury replacement for Detroit's Calvin Johnson who is out with an injury. White finished the season with 100 receptions for 1,296 yards and eight touchdowns for the Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster on Wednesday, as the former UAB Blazer will replace Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who will be unavailable to play due to a sore Achilles' injury.
White finished his 2011 campaign with 100 receptions and 1,296 yards to go along with eight touchdowns. He also finished second in the NFL in receptions, and led the NFC in receptions for the second straight season. In his final game of the season, the receiver had 5 catches for 52 yards in the Falcons 24-2 defeat by the New York Giants in the Wild Card round of the NFC playoffs.
White will join tight end Tony Gonzalez as the only Falcon members on the NFC Pro Bowl roster. The 2012 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 29th in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Despite being swept by the New Orleans Saints in 2011, including one overtime loss, the Falcons have sealed a playoff berth as an NFC wild card team. They're heading into Week 17 with a 9-6 record and will be heading to the post season for the second season in a row. They can credit some extremely tough play by young and older players alike for another successful seasons. Here are the Falcons that played well enough in 2011 for a spot in the Pro Bowl.
Tony Gonzalez will be one of the NFC's tight ends, along side Jimmy Graham of the Saints. Gonzalez already has a Hall of Fame resume. This season he has caught 79 passes for 867 yards and seven touchdowns. He's the second leading receiver on the team.
Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Michael Turner, Todd McClure, Curtis Lofton, Sean Weatherspoon and Thomas DeCoud had Pro Bowl arguments, but one year after a team-record Pro Bowl class, the Falcons will have to content themselves with just Gonzalez.

2012 Pro Bowl: Tony Gonzalez Leads NFC In Receiving Yards
Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez was appearing in his 12th Pro Bowl of his career and he had one of his better performances in the All-Star game. Gonzalez led the NFC squad in targets with 11, seven receptions and 121 yards; the only thing Gonzalez did not do in this game was score a touchdown. Gonzalez currently holds the Pro Bowl record for most receptions by any player and with the seven he caught on Sunday it increased his record total to 49 receptions.
The other Falcons to appear in this game was wide receiver Roddy White who was making his third Pro Bowl appearance of his career, but in this game he did not perform as well as Gonzalez. White had two receptions for 22 yards on the day.
