The Atlanta Falcons are likely to let middle linebacker Curtis Lofton go in free agency. The signing of Lofa Tatupu, plus murmurs that the overhauled coaching staff hasn't been impressed with Lofton's pass defense, appears to mean it's Sean Weatherspoon's defense now.
The word on the street is that Lofton could remain in the NFC South:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gotten plenty of looks at Lofton during his four years. They'd also be able to move current Mike linebacker Mason Foster to the outside, as they've considered.
Another team to consider: the Philadelphia Eagles, whose defensive center was mighty squishy last year. Philly.com names inside linebacker the team's biggest priority, and lists Lofton first on the list of potential targets.
