NFL Free Agency 2012: Vance Walker Tendered Contract By Falcons

Stay connected for news and updates

NFL free agency begins on Tuesday and the Atlanta Falcons will certainly be testing the waters while trying to make improvements to their team.

Atlanta made at least one in-house move on Tuesday, however. According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Falcons tendered a contract to defensive tackle Vance Walker, who signed with the team and will remain with the team through 2012.

Walker, who was set to become a restricted free agent, will receive $1.26 million with the tendered contract. The DT played in every Falcons game in 2011 and racked up two solo sacks and a forced fumble to go along with his 25 tackles. The former seventh-round draft pick from Georgia Tech has 77 career tackles.
