Talks between Atlanta Falcons free agent Curtis Lofton and the divisional rival New Orleans Saints are getting heavy, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Lofton is one of the biggest names on the market this off-season. Despite the Saints going through their bounty scandal, Lofton could provide a huge spark to the defense. The Falcons will attempt to replace Lofton with Lofa Tatupu, a three-time Pro Bowler who did not play last season.
In 2011, Lofton recorded 147 tackles, forced one fumble and had two interceptions.
