Falcons Free Agency: Madieu Williams Opts To Sign With Redskins

The Atlanta Falcons are in the thick of the free agent season and looking to solidify their 2012 between bringing back key players, browsing the open market and preparing for the 2012 NFL Draft in less than a month. One of the players that the Falcons were hoping to bring in was safety Madieu Williams, who was with the San Francisco 49ers in 2011.

Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that Williams has chosen to sign with the Washington Redskins rather than accept an offer from the Falcons. Williams had met with both teams recently. The eight-year veteran has 12 career interceptions and 4.5 sacks.
