Franklin spent last season with the New Orleans Saints, where he saw his production in tackles go half as much as what was consistent of him with the San Francisco 49ers over the previous four seasons.
There were reports earlier in the month which show the Seattle Seahawks had interest in the defensive lineman. Franklin will be 32 at the start of the season, which will be his 10th. Franklin has played in 114 games in his NFL career, with 204 tackles to his rep.
