2012 NFL Draft: Falcons Hold Pick No. 23 In Second Round

The Atlanta Falcons will make their first selection of the 2012 NFL Draft with the 23rd pick of the second round on Friday. Many surprise first-round picks should leave the Falcons with a number of good options. The team is reportedly looking for a tight end and depth along its offensive and defensive lines in the draft.

Atlanta already made a splash prior to the draft when it shipped out a seventh round draft pick to Philadelphia for cornerback Asante Samuel. Atlanta's first and fourth round picks this year were traded last year as a part of the package that delivered Julio Jones. The Browns used that first-round pick last night to select 28-year old Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Wheeler.

Here is a full list of the Atlanta Falcons' upcoming draft selections:

Round 2, Pick 23 No. 55 overall
Round 3, Pick 21 No. 84 overall
Round 5, Pick 22 No. 157 overall
Round 6, Pick 22 No. 192 overall
Round 7, Pick 42 No. 249 overall
