On Wednesday, the Atlanta Falcons announced dates for offseason OTAs and minicamps.

Unlike 2011, NFL teams will be able to hold offseason minicamps and organized team activities. On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlanta Falcons announced when they will be conducting their offseason programs.

Here's when Mike Smith will be conducting his organized team activities and minicamps:

OTA dates: May 29-31, June 5-7, June 12-15
Rookie minicamp: May 11-13
Mandatory minicamp: June 19-21

Unfortunately for Falcons fans, this year's offseason minicamp won't be that thrilling, since the Falcons did not have a first or fourth round draft pick. Atlanta's top two picks, Peter Konz and Lamar Holmes, are offensive linemen. Watching offensive linemen isn't the most exciting thing, but Matt Ryan will be glad to get a good look at two of his new protectors.

Atlanta's first preseason game will come on Thursday, August 9 against the Baltimore Ravens.
