It didn't take long for former Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill to agree to terms with the New York Jets, signing a contract Thursday, according to the New York Daily News.

Hill was the 43rd overall pick and is the second draft pick to sign a contract, joining Alshon Jeffrey, a wide receiver with the Bears.
The Jets really wanted Hill's skills, as they traded fifth- and seventh-round picks to move up four spots to select Hill in the second round. With a recently-new rookie wage scale, draft picks are expected to sign contracts much earlier than years ago, when the negotiations could last for months.
