Brent Grimes was hurt in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes was forced to leave Sunday's game against Kansas City because of a calf injury. After the game, head coach Mike Smith said he wasn't sure about the severity of the injury and didn't hazard a guess as to whether or not Grimes would miss any time.

Grimes is in his sixth season with the Falcons. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2010 after finishing the year with 87 tackles and five interceptions. The Falcons would likely start Dunta Robinson in Grimes' cornerback spot if Grimes were forced to miss time because of the injury.

Atlanta faces Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Week 2.
