The move will also reportedly cause the Blazers to either use the amnesty clause on Brandon Roy or means that the team will receive a medical exception from the league on behalf of Roy to be able to offer Crawford the full mid-level exception. Indiana also extended a two-year, $10 million offer that also includes an opt-out that would allow Crawford to become a free agent again next summer. No word yet on whether or not the Portland offer includes an opt-out.
Minnesota and New York have also been pursuing Crawford although the Timberwolves may have pulled out. The Knicks seemed to be a popular landing spot for Crawford during the offseason but the Knicks can only offer a fraction of the money that is being offered by Portland and Indiana.
