VIDEO: Zaza Pachulia, Jason Richardson Fight In Hawks' 88-84 Game 3 Win Over Magic

Stay connected for news and updates

Things are got heated on Friday night in Atlanta.

Jason Richardson and Zaza Pachulia were both ejected for fighting with 2:22 left in the Atlanta Hawks' 88-84 win over the Orlando Magic in Game 3 of their first round playoff series on Friday night at Philips Arena.

The fracas was ignited after Pachulia hacked Dwight Howard in the lane and Howard responds with a bit of a clothesline. Pachulia starts complaining to the ref and Jason Richarson steps in. Pachulia and Richardson exchange words. Zaza throws a couple headbutts. Richardson adds a girlie slap and the two get tossed from the game.

And in the good ole age of YouTube, it's all recorded digitally for posterity.

Throwing punches (and probably a few headbutts) is a no-no in the NBA. Players that throw a "punch" get suspended for a game. It will be interesting to see how the league interprets the trio of Zaza head smackings and the lil slap by Richardson.

Zaza, for his part, knows that his fate for Game 4 is in the hands the suits in New York City. Here's a video of an interview of the Hawks center with my colleague Nubyjas Wilborn of nobiasnobullsports.com. The good stuff, where he talks about the fracas, is about 45 seconds in.
